Who am I?

My name is Charlie Schreiber. I am 15 years old and a freshman in high school. I built this company to give hope to the hopeless and spread kindness in my community.

I am Jewish so every year during the winter we celebrate the holiday Hannukah. Hannukah lasts 8 days so every year we had a tradition that on the first day of Hannukah we would donate money to a chosen charity. Every year I chose a homeless shelter in Philadelphia called “Project Home“.

Later in my life, I reached my bar-mitzvah. A bar-mitzvah is a celebration for you when you turn 13 years old, welcoming you into the Jewish community. For my bar-mitzvah we did a mitzvah project, which is when you donate money or do something to give back to the community. I chose to collect Halloween candy, clothes, and money to donate to Project Home. I raised around $2,500 and collected tons of clothing and candy.

Shirt off my back is a continuation of this tradition of helping Project Home and the homeless.
